Radio Host/Announcer

We are seeking a skilled Radio Host/Announcer to join our team at Blackburn Radio Inc. as a permanent employee. As a key member of our broadcasting team, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative content to our listeners.

• Presenting Own Material or Material Prepared by Others: Develop and deliver high-quality content, including news, sports, and weather updates, as well as commercial and public service announcements.
• Selecting and Introducing Music, Videos, and Other Entertainment Material: Curate and present a diverse range of music, videos, and other entertainment content to suit our audience's tastes.
• Hosting Programs, Games, or Events: Host live shows, events, and programs, including interviews with guests, and conduct proceedings with professionalism and poise.
• Reading News, Sports, and Weather: Deliver accurate and timely news, sports, and weather updates to our listeners.
• Reporting on Weather and Traffic Conditions: Provide up-to-date information on weather and traffic conditions, using information from weather forecasting services and external sources.

• Education: A college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of broadcasting or a related field.
• Language: Fluency in English is required.
• Physical Abilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and maintain a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
• Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication skills, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, and a team player.
