Electrical Engineer - R&D

WeighPack Systems Inc is a leader in developing and manufacturing Packaging Machinery solutions worldwide. Our dynamic R&D team is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our close-knit group of professionals. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping cutting-edge projects and creating revolutionary products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for our machines, ensuring compliance with Canadian, American, and European regulations (CSA, UL, CE).
  • Develop detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) and schematics for our products.
  • Collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Oversee engineering design across multiple projects, covering distribution, utility connections, lighting, controls, and life-safety systems.
  • Drive innovation and excellence in our electrical systems, creating a revolutionary impact.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical engineering and design.
  • Familiar with Electrical Codes and the Provincial and National Building Codes.
  • Strong understanding of the engineering environment in the electrical sector.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
