Job Summary

Dovre Import & Export Ltd. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of Goods: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with our logistics team to plan and execute transportation routes, ensuring optimal efficiency and minimizing delays.
  • Cargo Handling: Load and unload goods, and perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the safe transportation of goods.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all relevant regulations and laws related to the transportation of goods, including those related to hazardous materials.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) and any other required certifications.
  • Work Schedule: Work a standard 40-hour week, with flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
