Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze divisional and departmental monthly and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and timely completion.

• Provide operational-level analysis of monthly financials and trends, highlighting areas for improvement.

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare month-end journal entries with supporting documentation.

• Analyze large data sets to draw meaningful conclusions and provide recommendations.

• Examine profit and loss variances to prior performance and budgets.

• Collaborate with different divisions for intercompany processing and reconciliation.

• Assist in preparing working papers required for quarterly and annual reserves and allowances.

• Support the preparation of documentation needed for the annual external audit.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff.

• Offer insight into various accounting requirements, including CRA regulations.

• Provide advice and guidance on accounting matters, including financial systems, record-keeping, analysis, and reporting.

• Identify internal process gaps and suggest recommendations for improvement.

• Perform other tasks and responsibilities as needed.

• Contribute to continuous process improvement and ad-hoc projects.
