Job Title: Cloud Systems Engineer

At Partner Reinsurance Company, we are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Systems Engineer to join our global server operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and evolving the infrastructure that hosts and delivers our core business applications and workflows worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and evolve the infrastructure that hosts and delivers our core business applications and workflows worldwide.
  • Work with various teams to establish relationships and provide a stable and efficient platform for the business to operate.
  • Lead and manage a task force of stakeholders across multiple technical teams for permanent resolution of major incidents.
  • Design and implement Azure native solutions to reduce the need for 3rd party toolsets.
  • Provide production server engineering and operational support in a global environment that is predominately Windows (80%) with exposure to various flavors of Linux (20%).
  • Create and maintain scripts, utilizing toolsets/languages such as PowerShell, YAML, KQL, bash, JSON, Ansible, automating manual processes to create efficiencies in the standard operating environment.
Requirements:
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud offerings in a system engineering and operations capacity that has focused mainly on infrastructure and systems technologies.
  • Ability to design and implement Azure native solutions to reduce the need for 3rd party toolsets.
  • Production server engineering and operational support in a global environment that is predominately Windows (80%) with exposure to various flavors of Linux (20%).
  • Strong ability to create and maintain scripts, utilizing toolsets/languages such as PowerShell, YAML, KQL, bash, JSON, Ansible, automating manual processes to create efficiencies in the standard operating environment.
  • Ability to liaise with the architecture team to present new ideas, design a solution and see it through to implementation.
  • Ability to create and maintain configuration, operational and control documents.
  • Previous experience working with Security and Compliance teams to provide evidence demonstrating compliance with operational controls.
