Job Title: Director, Operational Risk Management

CIBC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Operational Risk Management to join our team. As a key member of our Risk Management function, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our operational risk framework, ensuring effective risk management practices across all business platforms and functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the operational risk framework, including policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Provide oversight and guidance on operational risk management practices across all business platforms and functions.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to ensure alignment with enterprise risk management strategies.
  • Ensure effective implementation of operational risk programs, including change management, scenario analysis, and external events.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, risk management teams, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in operational risk management, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate operational risk.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, including COSO and ISO 31000.
