The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a key member of the healthcare team, the LPN will work collaboratively with other professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients, focusing on their physical, emotional, and social needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to maintain competency and stay current with best practices.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment, promoting a culture of safety and quality care.
Requirements:
- Current active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Knowledge of Professional Standards of Practice, Competency Profile for Licensed Practical Nurses in Manitoba, and Code of Ethics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
