Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Core Child Care Society. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing environment that supports the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs of children, promoting their overall well-being and fostering a love for learning.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, ensuring they receive guidance and support in delivering high-quality care and education.
  • Collaborate with early childhood educators to design and execute programs that promote children's growth and development.
  • Assist children in developing essential life skills, such as eating, dressing, and toilet habits, while also encouraging independence and self-confidence.
  • Prepare nutritious snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for meal and rest periods, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Submit written observations on children to inform early childhood educators or supervisors about their progress and needs.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress, share best practices, and address any challenges or concerns.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, community service providers, and families, working together to provide exceptional care and education.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations and standards for early childhood education.
  • Basic security clearance.
  • Punctuality, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, reliability, and a strong commitment to teamwork and values.
Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000-$55,000 CAD, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including paid time off, professional development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
