We are a reputable private company seeking an experienced translator to join our team as a Translation Specialist - Business Linguistics. As a key member of our corporation, you will play a vital role in facilitating effective communication between languages.

Job Overview

This is a permanent position with 35-40 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary ranging from $45,000 to $60,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Interpret oral communication from one language to another aloud or using electronic equipment, providing accurate and reliable interpretation services in various settings.

 

  • Terminology Management: Conduct terminological research on a given subject or in response to inquiries, identifying the terminology used in a field of activity and maintaining the content, context, and style of the original material.

 

  • Quality Control: Perform quality control and proofreading to ensure high-quality translations that meet our standards.

 

  • Consultative Services: Provide consultative services to translators, interpreters, and technical writers, offering guidance and support in their work.

 

  • Work Environment: Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring excellent time management and organizational skills.

 

  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate accurate judgment, initiative, and excellent written communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and clients.

 

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

 

  • At least 1 year of experience in translation or a related field.

 

  • Excellent knowledge of business terminology and concepts.

 

  • Proficiency in English and at least one other language.

 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
