We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Deli Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Deli Associate, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized deli area, and assisting with the sale of goods.
Key Responsibilities- Zones the department to ensure a clean and organized environment.
- Rotates stock and checks for expired products to maintain high-quality merchandise.
- Ensures merchandise is properly signed and priced to meet company standards.
- Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
- Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise, slicing and preparing items such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken.
- Provides assistance to front-end associates with price checks.
- Prepares deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizes slicers, stackers, and other utensils to prepare chicken and fill prepared salads and side dishes.
- Keeps the area neat, clean, and organized, free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
