Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase team efficiency and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies.
  • Provide training and technical support to team members.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
  • Manage and participate in small projects and provide subject matter expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
  • Accounting designation or actively working towards accounting designation (CMA, CGA, CA).
  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Oracle Discoverer/Financial Analyzer, FOCUS, SAP).
  • Very good organizational, time-management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written, in English and French.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of controls environment.
  • Knowledge of Financial accounting systems and reporting tools (Oracle General Ledger, Oracle Discoverer/Financial Analyzer, SAP).
  • Knowledge of Group products, services and systems (Group CDB accounting systems, Group administration and claim systems).
