Sheet Metal Fabricator

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team at Flynn Canada Ltd. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sheet metal products that meet our customers' expectations.

Responsibilities:
  • Measure and mark sheet metal according to template
  • Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal
  • Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification
  • Instruct apprentices in the fabrication process
  • Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment
  • Fabricate sheet metal parts and assemble them into final products
  • Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience as a sheet metal fabricator
  • Degree or certificate in a related field (e.g., metalworking, engineering)
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Dependability and reliability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and repetitive tasks
Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced environment with a large workload
  • Physically demanding job requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling capacity
  • Overtime required occasionally
