Dining Room Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dining Room Coordinator to join our team at Compass Group Canada. This is a permanent, full-time position working approximately 30-35 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise customers on wine selection and serve wine in a fast-paced environment.
  • Balance and deposit cash while maintaining daily log books.
  • Liaise between chefs and customers to ensure seamless service.
  • Inspect dining rooms and other food and beverage serving areas to maintain high standards.
  • Deposit cash and maintain daily log books.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and poise.
  • Answer customer questions regarding menu items and preparation methods.
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs.
  • Attend to seating arrangements for large groups.
  • Greet customers warmly and make them feel welcome.
  • Perform opening and closing activities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide general information on community services.
  • Receive customer reservations and assign tables efficiently.
  • Receive payments from customers.
Requirements:
  • Criminal record check.
  • Ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and initiative to adapt to changing situations.
  • Organized and able to work under pressure.
