About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support the Vice President, Research, and the Autism Research Centre at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. The successful candidate will provide clinical, research, and administrative support to the Vice President, Research, and contribute to the success of our research team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Vice President, Research, including scheduling, logistics, and coordination of research events and meetings.
- Recruit and schedule participants for research studies, facilitate informed consent/assent, and support families' understanding of research procedures.
- Organize internal and external research events, including travel arrangements, meeting rooms, catering, and audio-visual equipment services.
- Establish and manage video/telephone conference calls, initiate and maintain research files, and update websites and databases with predetermined content.
- Liaise with Information Systems, Finance, and Human Resources to ensure seamless support for research operations.
- Maintain minor research equipment and assets, support the maintenance of faculty CVs, and source goods or services based on review of specification requirements.
- Provide support for internal and external committees, complete expense reports, and coordinate staff/trainee timecards.
Requirements:
- Minimum of an undergraduate degree in health, science, or business with 5 years of demonstrated administrative experience in a professional setting.
- Experience or knowledge of Redcap or other databases is an asset.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with ability to use enhanced calendar management options and virtual meetings tools.
- Proactive, with exceptional project and event coordination skills, and ability to work well under pressure, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
