About the Role:

The YMCA of Greater Vancouver is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the YMCA Highland Family Development Centre. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children, while also establishing positive relationships with families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement child-centred programs that promote learning and development
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and staff
  • Work collaboratively with the staff team to deliver a high-quality program based on the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum
  • Adhere to all Child Care Licensing Regulations and YMCA Child Protection Policies

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Early Childhood Educator License to Practice
  • Three satisfactory professional references and experience working with children in a child care/recreational setting
  • Current child care First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain and Satisfactory Criminal Record and Clear Vulnerable Sector Search
