Job Summary
The Fire Prevention Officer will be responsible for patrolling the territory, inspecting properties, and ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations, laws, and standards. This includes writing infraction reports, preparing legal documents, testifying in court, and communicating with municipal services and other organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations
- Write and issue infraction reports to property owners, tenants, or occupants
- Prepare and submit legal documents and reports
- Testify in court as needed
- Communicate with municipal services and other organizations
- Provide information to the public on fire safety regulations and laws
- Participate in community events and activities
Requirements and Competencies
- Hold a college diploma in fire prevention techniques or equivalent
- Have a valid Class 5 driver's license
- Pass a security clearance
- Meet the qualification process
Qualification Process
- May include an interview, tests, and verification of skills

Working Hours
