We are seeking a highly skilled Production Team Leader to join our team at Middlesex-Essex HR Solutions Inc. As a Production Team Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating daily production activities to ensure quality standards and production schedules are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train new operators and monitor their performance to ensure versatility matrix is updated.
  • Ensure JES completion and compliance.
  • Complete prestart safety sheets at the beginning of every shift.
  • Distribute necessary supplies to operators.
  • Verify operators adhere to quality alert requirements.
  • Complete CMS production reporting.
  • Verify new model signoff.
  • Adhere to packaging instructions.
  • Position operators into various jobs to support weekly schedule requirements.
  • Complete work orders for respective lines.
  • Communicate with Materials, Maintenance, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering groups.
  • Monitor operator performance and advise Supervisor if performance is below standard.
  • Assist Assemblers with submission of Employee Involvement Suggestions.
  • Provide washroom relief for operators.
  • Track and record downtime in downtime database.
  • Maintain cycle time adherence on assembly lines.
  • Responsible for obtaining correct labels and controlling label distribution.
  • Ensure 5S standards are upheld and continually improved.
  • Assist in coordinating service/sample building.
  • Ensure all rework/repair procedures are followed.
  • Involvement in continuous improvement through operator feedback and self-assessment.
  • Assist in the motivation of operators on the line.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Verify record of scrap through the scrap tally process.
  • Verify record of rework through the rework tally process.
  • Must be aware of relevance and importance of their activities and how it affects quality and the environment for our customers.
  • Responsible for set up/changeover.
  • Overtime as required to support the line.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a production environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
