Job Overview

As a Senior Department Leader - Operations Specialist at Edward Jones, you will play a critical role in creating a seamless client experience. Your responsibilities will include managing a high-risk, complex department, establishing key performance indicators, and ensuring compliance with regulatory procedures. You will oversee annual department expenditures and have full managerial responsibility for up to 60+ people. This position requires a strong understanding of the department's functions, processes, and systems, as well as the ability to identify changing industry rules and regulations and develop new procedures to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a high-risk, complex department, including establishing key performance indicators and ensuring compliance with regulatory procedures.
  • Oversee annual department expenditures and have full managerial responsibility for up to 60+ people.
  • Develop and implement new procedures to ensure compliance with changing industry rules and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Provide guidance and direction to team members and ensure they have the necessary skills and training to perform their duties.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 8 or more years of significant industry and/or Jones functional experience in increasingly responsible positions.
  • CSC and CPH certifications required.
  • Strong understanding of the major functions in Canada brokerage Operations, including books and records, trades, packaged products, and processing of cash, securities, and accounts.
  • Ability to assess and mitigate complex risks, including financial, control, service, and regulatory risk.
