We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Specialist to join our team at BioScript Solutions. As a Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support in our infusion clinics.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer specialized IV and injection therapies to patients.
- Receive and review physician's orders to ensure accurate and timely treatment.
- Perform patient assessments to identify potential health risks and develop effective care plans.
- Initiate IV lines and perform phlebotomy as needed.
- Provide patient education and support on medication management and self-injection techniques.
- Monitor patient conditions and document observations according to our clinic's standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest clinical practices and technologies.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of recent acute care experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and current registration in good standing with the provincial licensing body.
- Training and experience in the preparation and administration of medications via all routes.
- Excellent intravenous skills and experience with CVADs.
- Current BCLS certification and ability to read and interpret technical instructions.
- Experience in biologics/infusions is an asset.
