Your Opportunity:

As a Healthcare Professional, you will work as a collaborative member of the multi-disciplinary team providing personal assistance to patients who require short-term assistance or ongoing support. You will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers to assist nurses with the provision of routine care to meet patients' hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support patients with mobility and transfer needs.
  • Assist with organized activities or programs to promote patient engagement and well-being.
  • Monitor and report on patient progress to the Registered Nurse.
  • Participate in the maintenance of a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of a Healthcare Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire and active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory. Must provide a confirmation letter as proof of enrolment from the Directory.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current BLS and Supportive Pathways Certificate.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a healthcare setting and a strong understanding of patient-centered care.
