Senior Municipal Engineer

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Senior Municipal Engineer to lead and grow a municipal engineering team within our Calgary or Edmonton based Municipal Infrastructure Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse range of municipal projects of varying scope and size for municipalities, developers, and First Nations clients.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of Engineers and Designers on municipal projects, from inception through to construction.
- Manage Municipal Engineering projects including Financial Controls, Project Management, and Client Relationships, in accordance with our Quality Management System.
- Prepare proposals, reports, preliminary and detailed designs, cost estimates, specifications, contract documents, tendering, and contract administration.
- Collaborate on projects with other professionals, including Geotechnical Engineers, Environmental Scientists, Planners, and Landscape Architects.
- Plan projects, develop accurate scopes of work, cost estimates, and schedules.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, regulatory and utility agencies, and contractors.
- Provide technical mentorship to staff.
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in Municipal Engineering and Project Management, preferably in the consulting industry.
- Experience or aptitude for proposal writing, client development, working in a team setting to meet timelines, and other skills appropriate to consulting.
- Registered (or eligible to register) as a Civil Engineer with APEGA.
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
