About the Role
Slegg Building Materials is seeking a highly skilled Senior EWP Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design and engineering department, you will play a crucial role in creating floor layouts for residential and commercial projects using Istruct.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement design solutions that meet customer needs and company standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design accuracy and efficiency.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Act as an ambassador of the company, promoting a positive image and excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Engineered Wood Design.
- Proficiency in Istruct Software and experience with Sapphire, Plan Swift, or other relevant industry design software.
- Strong working knowledge of wood frame structures, including truss systems and design.
- Experience working with the BC Building Code and on-site framing and general floor assembly knowledge.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
