About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Provincial Preschool Autism Service (PPAS) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for completing clinical diagnostic assessments of children who are suspected of having a diagnosis of autism. You will work closely with families, caregivers, and interprofessional teams to provide high-quality, evidence-based assessment services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments of children suspected of having autism
  • Develop and implement individualized management plans with families, taking into account identified strengths and difficulties, as well as family priorities and knowledge of available resources
  • Collaborate with interprofessional teams to provide direct clinical services, caregiver education, and clinical consultation and collaboration with families
  • Participate in provincial clinical leadership and contribute to the development of autism diagnostic services provincially
About You

We are looking for a registered or eligible psychologist with a Master's or PhD degree in Clinical Psychology or a related field. You will have a minimum of three years of pediatric work experience, with a focus on autism diagnostic assessments and interventions. You will possess knowledge of typical child development, divergent neurodevelopment, and the range of behavioral manifestations of autism. You will also have experience in the use of standard autism assessment instruments, such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedules-2 (ADOS-2). Supervised training will be provided for candidates who meet all other job requirements but do not have specific autism diagnostic experience.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $37-$64 per hour, pending Master's or PhD background. You will also be eligible for a one-time signing bonus of $7,000 for permanent roles and $5,000 for temporary roles. In addition, you will have access to relocation assistance of up to $5,000, depending on your qualifications.
