ESG Director

Crombie is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Sustainability program. As the Director, ESG & Sustainability, you will oversee the execution and strategies of Crombie's ESG and Sustainability program, working closely with various business units.
Key Responsibilities:- Stay up-to-date with industry-leading environmental and sustainability programs, ensuring risk mitigation and compliance at federal, provincial, and municipal levels.
- Identify and implement leading technologies to support Crombie's ESG strategy and Climate Action Plan, including program, data, and utility tracking systems.
- Manage all ESG-related projects, programs, and initiatives, collaborating with the Operations team to enhance environmental standards, programs, and reporting at Crombie's sites.
- Engage with People & Culture and Communications leadership to ensure all Social-related activities align with and drive the overall ESG strategy.
- Oversee and manage periodic materiality assessments related to ESG, working with third-party support as needed.
- Develop and maintain ESG and Climate Action budgets, collaborating with other key business units to ensure projects deliver value and are implemented on time and on budget.
- At least five (5) years of experience in ESG, Project Management, or a similar leadership role.
- Strong project management skills and designations or credentials in sustainability or project management are considered strong assets.
- Up-to-date knowledge of global/industry ESG trends and their application in commercial, retail, and residential real estate.
- Passion for making an impact on environmental and social issues, with highly effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and familiarity with sustainability strategy and reporting measurement and analysis.
- Proven experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
