The Department of Anesthesiology at Peace Arch Hospital (PAH) is seeking skilled and dedicated surgical anesthesiologists to join a supportive team serving the south Fraser region. Our team provides expert care for patients undergoing various surgeries, including general surgery, obstetrics & gynecology, orthopedics, urology, plastic surgery, ENT, oral & maxillo-facial surgery, and ophthalmology.

The hospital has recently completed construction on a state-of-the-art surgical suite, featuring 5 operating theatres, a cataract/ophthalmology suite, post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), and surgical daycare. Additionally, we have a brand-new Physician's engagement space and on-call rooms. Our efficient Pre-Admission Clinic offers both in-person and virtual consultations. We take pride in assessing and optimizing patients with multiple co-morbidities, many of whom are seniors. Our Internal Medicine colleagues provide 24/7 availability for perioperative consultations, and we have an Intensive Care Unit for postoperative critical care when necessary.

We currently have nine FRCPC anesthesiologists on staff, with one member on-call from home 24/7. Each full-time department member averages one night on-call per week. Our team members are also actively involved in local Physician Quality Improvement initiatives, the Medical Staff Association, and hospital decision-making processes.

Compensation and Benefits:
Our fee-for-service model offers competitive compensation. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes professional development opportunities, health insurance, and retirement savings plans. Estimated Salary Range: $300,000-$400,000 annually, depending on experience. Qualifications/Credentials: CPSBC Eligible for Full License, FRCPC, FRCPC Eligible
