Key Responsibilities

Lifetime Sheet Metal and Wall Systems LTD is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in sheet metal fabrication, installation, and repair. Key responsibilities include:

  • Measuring and marking sheet metal according to templates
  • Operating metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal
  • Inspecting products to ensure quality and conformity to specifications
  • Cutting materials using power tools or by hand
  • Fitting and joining sheet metal parts
  • Installing sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with physically demanding conditions. They will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel, as well as handle heavy loads. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, own transportation, and be willing to travel.

Requirements

Applicants must have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience. A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field is required. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the green economy sector, copper or metal roofs, custom sheet metal items, decorative metal sheets, eavestroughing and flashing, roof decking, sheathing and cladding, and stainless steel equipment.
