Job Title: Operations Supervisor

Alpine, a leading janitorial and building maintenance service provider, is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising a group of sites within a territory, managing subcontractors, and ensuring the scope of work is completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Subcontractor Management: Participate in the hiring, training, and supervision of subcontractors and their activities, ensuring compliance with requirements such as security clearances, GST, business licensing, WCB, liability insurance, etc.
  • Client Relations Management: Liaise with clients to ensure performance standards are met and complaints are addressed, preventing problems from escalating.
  • Expense Management: Ensure scheduled hours and actual hours are in line with budget, oversee or coordinate equipment repairs, and ensure subcontractor hours are in line with budget.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Experience with janitorial equipment such as auto scrubbers, stripping, and waxing experience is seen as a strong asset for this role.
  • Management experience in a fast-paced environment dealing with a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent client relationship skills, proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other programs to produce reports and trends.
  • Excellent communications and change management skills, ability to travel on an active schedule, and be available for immediate issues.
Working Conditions:

The Operations Supervisor will require flexibility in shift times, as interaction with night cleaning crew will also be required. Must be fully vaccinated and be able to obtain CPIC clearance. Frequent travel within a geographic region is required. Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
