About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our senior care team, you will play a vital role in delivering exercise and education programs that promote mobility, pain relief, and overall well-being for our seniors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement evidence-based exercise programs to improve mobility, strength, and balance in seniors
- Provide education and support to seniors and their families on fall prevention, injury management, and healthy aging
- Monitor and report on participant progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for enhanced care
- Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement programs that promote independence, cognition, and quality of life for seniors
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for seniors, promoting infection control and proper use of equipment
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current on best practices in senior care
Requirements:
- Degree in Kinesiology or related field, or diploma in PTA/OTA
- First Aid (CPR & AED) Certification
- Experience working with seniors and group programming an asset
- Reliable vehicle
- Mandatory requirement: Full vaccination against COVID-19
