Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Urologist to join our healthcare team in Brandon, Manitoba.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for examining, diagnosing, and treating urologic disorders, including surgical procedures, ordering diagnostic tests, and consulting with and providing urologic expertise to other physicians/healthcare providers as required.

About the Role

This is a fee-for-service position based on an agreement between Doctors Manitoba and Manitoba Healthy Living and Seniors (MHHLS). The income is derived from all sources during the regular working day and does not include medical services provided after hours, weekends, or holidays. For 24-hour off-site on-call, the current rate is $597.

Physicians may be eligible to receive relocation assistance.

Responsibilities
  • Examine, diagnose, and treat urologic disorders, including surgical procedures
  • Order diagnostic tests as required
  • Consult with and provide urologic expertise to other physicians/healthcare providers
Qualifications
  1. Medical Degree
  2. Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba
  3. Medico-legal insurance with the Canadian Medical Protective Association or another carrier
  4. Criminal record check, Child and Adult abuse check prior to starting practice
  5. Language of work: English
Work Environment

Prairie Mountain Health covers an area of 66,201 square kilometres on the southwestern side of the Province of Manitoba, with a population of 169,760. The region includes 115 towns and communities, including the city of Brandon, the referral centre for a catchment area of nearly 200,000 people.

The successful applicant will be able to join one of the various clinics throughout the city. All private clinics will have a competitive overhead rate.
