WSP Canada is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Inspector to join our Power team in Ontario. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a dedicated professional to perform on-site audits of hydro distribution installations, ensuring compliance with design, regulatory, safety, and client standards.
As an Electrical Inspector, you will be responsible for monitoring asset conditions at various locations, verifying construction work, and issuing safety and quality non-compliance reports as necessary. You will also participate in pre-construction and post-construction meetings, complete daily field audits, and prepare project finalization reports.
The ideal candidate will have a Power Line Technician or Electrician Certificate, or equivalent Electrical Engineering education/experience, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of dedicated experience in inspecting utility and infrastructure projects. They will also possess a valid Ontario Drivers' License and be able to work outside in extreme weather conditions.
- Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site audits of hydro distribution installations
- Verify construction work is completed in accordance with design, regulatory, safety, and client standards
- Issue safety and quality non-compliance reports as necessary
- Participate in pre-construction and post-construction meetings
- Complete daily field audits and prepare project finalization reports
