About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Assistant to join our team at True North Homes & Construction Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the work site.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform pre-operational inspections and clean and lubricate cranes to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Site Support: Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Demolition and Debris Removal: Assist in demolishing buildings and remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance work on equipment and machinery.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Assist in duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Outdoors, at heights, noisy, and dusty.
  • Work Setting: Rural area.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 hours per week.
