Job Overview

At MEGA TRANSPORT LTD, we are seeking a skilled and reliable Transportation Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload goods from vehicles
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure all equipment is in good working order
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs and preventive maintenance tasks
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch and other stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Ensure the safety and security of cargo during transportation
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A valid Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • A valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
Work Environment:

This is a permanent, full-time position with a typical workload of 40 to 60 hours per week. The work language is English, and you will be required to work in a team environment with a focus on collaboration and communication.
