Machinist Trainee

We are seeking a skilled Machinist Apprentice to join our team at Novy Manufacturing Inc. The successful candidate will assist in the setup and operation of conventional and computer-controlled machine tools, ensuring high-quality production and adherence to safety protocols.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments.
• Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce high-quality parts.
• Collaborate with experienced machinists to learn and develop skills in precision machining.
• Participate in pre-apprenticeship and level one apprenticeship training programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce complex parts with precision and accuracy.

• Registered Apprenticeship certificate.
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials.
