Cage Cashier

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cage Cashier to join our team at River Rock Casino Resort. As a key member of our cash handling team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial transactions, while providing exceptional customer service to our guests.

• Process cash transactions, including foreign currency exchange, traveler's cheques, and cash counts
• Monitor and report all discrepancies and suspicious cash activities
• Redeem value chips and gaming tickets for cash
• Sell racing tickets, vouchers, and racing programs as required
• Verify and process machine fills, machine jackpots, and cancelled credits
• Issue opening floats to Slot Attendants and reconcile closing floats
• Transfer and store floats, keys, and record-keeping documents
• Document and reconcile transactions, including bank deposits and revenue reports
• Count bills, coins, and cash equivalents
• Report suspect cash and cash equivalents
• Verify and reconcile before and after counts
• Provide information for reporting purposes
• Communicate effectively with operational departments
• Build strong working relationships with internal and external guests
• Comply with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations

• High School Diploma; post-secondary education an asset
• Minimum 1 year of experience in high-volume cash handling and counting
• Serving It Right Certification or ability to achieve
• Ability to pass a criminal record and credit check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch
• Ability to use physical exertion to push and pull carts on a consistent basis
• Ability to stand and walk for all periods of time on a consistent basis
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items on a consistent basis
• Must be able to differentiate denominations of chips and authenticity of currency
• Must be able to operate a computer, ten-key adding machine, and money counter
