Job Opportunity at RhynoCare
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in providing exceptional nursing care to our residents in long-term and acute care facilities.
About the Role
- Provide high-quality nursing care to residents in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
- Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents, including comprehensive orientation to the home and services offered.
- Coordinate resident transfers and discharges in a safe and timely manner.
- Ensure the safekeeping and control of medications and narcotics, adhering to established protocols.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
- Requirements
- Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Able to work with individuals with infectious diseases.
- BLS Certificate.
- Valid First Aid & CPR.
- Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), as well as a negative TB skin test within one year and Hepatitis B.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work varying shift times, including 8- or 12-hour shifts, and ability to 'float' between units as needed.
- Reliability in accepting and adhering to scheduled shifts.
