Job Title: Retail Buyer - Merchandise Management Specialist

SHOUYIXUAN JEWELRY LTD. is seeking a highly skilled Retail Buyer - Merchandise Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our retail and wholesale operations, you will be responsible for selecting and purchasing merchandise for resale, negotiating prices and discounts with suppliers, and maintaining adequate stock levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Study market reports, trade periodicals, and sales promotion materials to stay up-to-date on industry trends and consumer preferences.
  • Arrange products according to planograms to maximize visual appeal and sales.
  • Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to negotiate prices, discounts, and credit terms.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels to meet customer demand and minimize stockouts.
  • Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements with suppliers.
  • Oversee the distribution of merchandise to outlets and ensure timely delivery.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Review requirements of the establishment and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale, considering factors such as quality, price, and brand reputation.
  • Supervise the work of other buyers and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Visit trade shows, showrooms, factories, and product design events to stay informed about new products and trends.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, colleagues, and customers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel for extended periods, if required.
