The Nutrition Expert role within Prairie Mountain Health is a vital position that requires an individual with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of nutrition care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop personalized care plans for patients, residents, and clients.
  • Provide expert nutrition education and counseling to promote healthy eating habits and disease prevention.
  • Contribute to the development of programs, menus, policies, and procedures related to nutrition care.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to ensure seamless care delivery and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present statistical reports to stakeholders, highlighting key trends and insights in nutrition care.

Requirements:

  • A baccalaureate degree in Human Ecology or a related field, with completion of an accredited dietetic internship program.
  • Membership in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Manitoba and a valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.

About the Opportunity:

This is a full-time opportunity with Prairie Mountain Health, offering a competitive salary range of $73,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
