We are seeking a highly skilled Psychologist to join our team as a Primary Care Specialist. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with healthcare providers to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Job Summary:The Psychologist - Primary Care Specialist will provide brief psychological assessments and interventions to patients in our primary care setting. You will work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, and provide education and support to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct brief psychological assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare providers
- Provide evidence-based interventions to patients, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing
- Work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans
- Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from a recognized and accredited learning institution
- Current registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia or registration with the College within one year of employment
- Two years recent related experience working in primary care or similar settings
- Training in team-based health psychology is required
