Job Summary and Requirements

This posting will be used to fill 3 permanent full-time positions and 1 Term position working 75 hours bi-weekly. It will establish a 12-month eligibility list which may be used to fill similar positions.
This role is based in the Yukon, a thriving and diverse region.
Your Role
Family and Children Services is seeking motivated, collaborative, and committed professionals with a desire to work in the area of child welfare.
Family Services Professionals are responsible for the provision of child welfare casework in the areas of child protection, family services, and children in care. They conduct investigations, assessments, and provide preventative and support services to children and families who may be at risk of abuse and/or neglect. Additional responsibilities include children in care and extended family care. Family and Children Services Professionals are delegated to carry out duties under the Child and Family Services Act, provide after-hours on-call coverage as required, and work collaboratively and with transparency with First Nation governments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct investigations and assessments to identify risks and provide support services to children and families.
- Develop and implement case plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children and families.
- Collaborate with First Nation governments and other stakeholders to provide culturally sensitive services.
- Provide after-hours on-call coverage as required.
