Job Title: Pastry Artisan

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pastry Artisan to join our team at Mosi Bakery.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of pastry production, including preparing dough, baking goods, and supervising staff.

This is a physically demanding role that requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and bake a variety of sweet and savory pastries, including bread, rolls, cakes, and cookies
  • Supervise and train pastry staff to ensure high-quality products are consistently produced
  • Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently
  • Organize and maintain inventory levels
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a pastry production environment
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required; degree or certification in culinary arts an asset
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Physical stamina to lift heavy loads and stand for long periods
