About Our Studio
MFLA is a highly creative and dynamic landscape and urban design studio with a strong presence in the Bay Area, North Bay, Sonoma, and Napa regions, extending to Europe with our satellite studio in Southern Sweden. Our commissions include master planning, estates, wineries, hospitality, urban infill and re-development, mixed-use residential and commercial, parks, waterfront redevelopment, campuses, and streetscape projects.

Our studios in Healdsburg and San Francisco offer airy, open-plan environments, close to local amenities and public transportation routes. Our Design Approach
At MFLA, we take a meticulous and collaborative approach to design, creating environmentally grounded projects with integrity and substance. We strive for excellence in all aspects of our work, from concept development to construction administration.

As a Studio Director at MFLA, you will be responsible for leading our design team and overseeing the technical aspects of our projects. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects, from private residential and hospitality developments to large-scale urban planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Active involvement in the design process from concept development to construction administration
- Clear communication with clients, consultants, architects, and internal teams
- Rigorous oversight and involvement in developing graphic representations and coordinating technical project documentation and detailing
- Project management experience, including scheduling, fee management, staffing, and work plans
- Horticultural knowledge and an interest in different landscape approaches
- Understanding of regulatory agencies and processes for planning and permitting projects
