About the Role:

The successful candidate will possess strong leadership and analytical skills, with experience working with industry-standard estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Sage, Bluebeam). They will be responsible for developing detailed project cost estimates, collaborating closely with project managers and stakeholders, and reviewing project specifications and drawings.

In this role, you will also be expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material prices, and other factors that impact project costs. Additionally, you will implement and maintain estimating procedures, ensuring consistent best practices across the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the estimating team, ensuring all projects are costed accurately, efficiently, and on time.
  • Develop detailed project cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor bids.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to assess project requirements, risks, and timelines.
  • Oversee the pre-construction phase, offering insights and identifying opportunities to improve project cost efficiency and feasibility.
  • Review project specifications and drawings, ensuring a thorough understanding of all requirements.
  • Prepare bid proposals, conceptual budgets, and cost analysis reports.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material prices, and other factors that impact project costs.

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of estimating experience in commercial, institutional, and light industrial projects.
  • Proven experience working with a general contractor.
