Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Ontario Inc.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware in a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Store and maintain kitchen equipment and supplies, including refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and storage areas.
  • Clean and sanitize work surfaces, appliances, and equipment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and heat simple food items, following established recipes and procedures.
  • Restock refrigerators and salad bars with fresh ingredients, ensuring timely delivery of menu items.
  • Maintain accurate records of food quantities used, contributing to inventory management.
  • Perform manual tasks such as sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Receive, unpack, and store incoming supplies, verifying accuracy and quality upon receipt.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required.
  • 1-6 months of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food service industry.
  • Reliability and ability to multitask essential for this position.
Working Conditions:

The ideal candidate will be able to work 30-40 hours per week in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Fluency in English is required for effective communication with colleagues and supervisors.

Compensation:

This position offers an estimated salary range of $18-$22 per hour, depending on qualifications and location, providing a competitive compensation package for the right candidate.
