Job Title: Plumber Journeyman/Woman Position Available

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled plumber journeyman/woman to join our team at Maple Contractors Ltd.

Responsibilities:

* Install domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
* Repair domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
* Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems
* Prepare tenders and quotations
* Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
* Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings
* Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
* Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment
* Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
* Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
* Supervise other workers
* Estimate costs and materials
* Operate CADD and other computer software systems
* Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size

* Aerial lift and aerial work platform Certification
* Backflow prevention Certification
* Member of the Canadian Solar Industries Association (CanSIA)
* North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) solar heating installer Certification
* Ontario Water Works Association (OWWA)
* Plumber Trade Certification
* Working at heights training
* Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) clearance Certificate
* Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
* First Aid Certificate
* CPR Certificate
* Confined Space Entry Training
* Driver's License (Class 3 or D)
* Well Pump License
* Natural Gas License
* Liquefied Petroleum Gas License
* CADD Course
* Plumber Red Seal Certificate
* Gas Fitter Red Seal Certificate
* Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate

Work Environment:

* Physically demanding
* Bending, crouching, kneeling
* Hand-eye co-ordination
* Handling heavy loads

Requirements:

* 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
* College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
* or equivalent experience

Language: English

Work Setting: Various locations, commercial, industrial, residential, construction site

Security and Safety: Bondable, criminal record check
