We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Automotive Mechanic to join our team In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse range of heavy duty equipment, including delivery vehicles, machinery, on-road tractors, and trailers. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs and maintenance on all UPS package cars and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical problems.
- Ensure regular maintenance and timely repairs of all vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
- Perform routine PMI (Preventive Maintenance Inspection) and Maintenance repairs.
Requirements:
- Bilingual abilities are required.
- Ability to lift 70 lbs./32 kgs.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record are necessary.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles is essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and occasionally outdoors is necessary.
- Possession of essential hand tools, such as pneumatic tools, is required.
- A PEP card heavy duty or light duty mechanic license is mandatory.
