Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter and Decorator to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and painting surfaces to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation
    • Inspect surfaces for damage and imperfections
    • Clean and sand surfaces to ensure a smooth finish
  • Painting and Decorating
    • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces
    • Use a variety of techniques to achieve a high-quality finish
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees
    • Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees
    • Facilitate access to community resources, language training, and skills training
  • Support for Indigenous People
    • Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
    • Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations
  • Support for Visible Minorities
    • Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities
    • Offer mentorship programs and diversity training
  • Work Environment
    • Work 40 hours per week

Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in painting and decorating
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
