About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team at Nu-Vue Exteriors Ltd. as a key member of our installation team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate and precise measurements.
  • Underlay and Underpadding Installation: Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding to provide a stable base for floor coverings.
  • Carpet Installation: Measure, cut and install carpeting on floors, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Resilient Floor Covering Installation: Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings, such as vinyl and linoleum.
  • Hardwood Flooring Installation: Prepare and install hardwood floors, including sanding and finishing.
  • Inspection and Repair: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for installations, and plan accordingly to meet deadlines.
  • Pre-Installation Preparation: Prepare floors for installations, including cleaning and clearing debris.
  • Equipment Operation: Employ knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting, and utilize hand and power tools as needed.
