Electro-Mechanical Systems Architect
PV Labs is a pioneering company at the forefront of innovation in electro-mechanical systems, and we are seeking an exceptional Electro-Mechanical Systems Architect to join our team. Our vision is to design and develop cutting-edge systems that exceed customer expectations, and we need talented individuals like you to help us achieve this goal.
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, based on industry standards and location considerations. As a member of our engineering team, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including the design, development, and maintenance of state-of-the-art electro-mechanical stabilization platforms, motion-control systems, camera and lens control systems, video-processing technologies, remote I/O subsystems, and the integration and control of cutting-edge laser technologies.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who can drive the system engineer process and provide constructive guidance and mentoring to other team members. If you are a confident technical communicator who can articulate complex ideas and concepts, have a continuous-improvement approach/mindset to design and processes, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply.
Becoming a part of PV Labs means joining a dynamic team that values creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving skills. We offer a unique work-life philosophy with a 4-day workweek, hybrid working mode, and flexible performance metrics that focus on individual contributions rather than hours worked or location. Our culture fosters collaboration, autonomy, mastery, and purpose, making it an ideal place to grow professionally and personally.
- Design and develop complex electro-mechanical systems, including stabilization platforms, motion-control systems, and camera and lens control systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and control cutting-edge laser technologies.
- Drive the system engineer process, providing constructive guidance and mentoring to other team members.
- Develop and maintain state-of-the-art video-processing technologies and remote I/O subsystems.
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in designing and developing complex mechatronics and optical systems. You should be proficient in Requirements Management platforms, such as IBM DOORS, and have a deep understanding of MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, and RTCA DO-160 standards. Additionally, you should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, leadership, planning, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills, and be able to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously.
