Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the YMCA of Three Rivers. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to young children.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Educator will be responsible for planning and implementing a child-centered program that promotes the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of children aged 0-12 years. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment that fosters a love of learning and promotes social-emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement a child-centered program that aligns with the YMCA's curriculum and standards
  • Provide high-quality care and education to children, including supervision, guidance, and support
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children, including maintaining a clean and organized classroom
  • Communicate effectively with families and colleagues, including reporting on children's progress and sharing ideas for program development
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Educator Diploma or equivalent
  • Registered (or proof of registration) with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification
  • Up-to-date immunizations
  • Ability to work outdoors for at least 2 hours daily, year-round
  • Flexibility and adaptability regarding assigned working hours
