Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plastic Extrusion Operator to join our team at Meltech Plastics Corporation. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating extruding machines to produce high-quality plastic compounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Weigh and mix resins, colorants, and other chemicals according to precise formulae.
  • Monitor and inspect the quality of material produced to meet our high standards.
  • Unload mixture into containers or conveyors for further processing.
  • Set up and operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compounds through nozzles or dies.
  • Organize and maintain inventory of raw materials and finished products.
  • Adjust processing machines and equipment to optimize production efficiency.
  • Take samples of material produced for quality control purposes.
  • Start up, shut down, and troubleshoot equipment to ensure smooth production.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and maintain attention to detail.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate equipment safely.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent oral communication skills to collaborate with team members.
  • Organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
